RAPAPORT reported that Diacore Diamond Group and De Beers, purchased five rare blue diamonds, that were discovered at the legendary Cullinan Diamond Mine. The diamonds, totalling at 85.62 carats, were acquired for a total purchase price of $40.36 million, split equally between the companies.
The De Beers Group and Diacore will select expert craftsmen to study and work with the rare diamonds, and ultimately unlock their natural beauty, before they are presented to the public eye.
The Executive Chairman of Diacore, Nir Livnat, said: “I’m thrilled with the purchase of Cullinan’s rare blue diamond collection with De Beers, demonstrating our long-term vision and passion in creating one of-a-kind masterpieces.”
