As reported by Robb Report, ‘The De Beers Cullinan Blue Diamond’, which the Gemological Institute of America found to be the largest internally flawless step-cut vivid blue diamond its lab had ever graded, has been priced at $48 Million. The extraordinary gem is co-owned by Diacore and De Beers, which purchased the rough together, and it was later cut and polished by Diacore.
Nir Livnat, chairman of the Diacore Group, has stated: “We’re excited and humbled to have the opportunity of designing and shaping one of the most special and rare blue diamonds of such size and color”.
